Editing and …

I work as a professional freelance editor. I have experience not only in writing my own books, but in editing the books, both non-fiction and fiction, of other writers. And not just books. I’ve edited a wide range of texts of all kinds, as short as a couple of pages and as long as nearly a thousand. Language and words are a passion for me, and I combine that with technical skills in all kinds of editing – structural, stylistic, copy editing, and proofreading – to give your writing the attention it deserves.

Please see WayneJonesEditing.ca for more information about the full range of services that I can provide to improve any of your documents or other writing.

From September 1985 to December 2019 I worked as a professional librarian. During my library career, I also did substantial editing and writing. Please see my list of publications for editing and writing which I have done professionally. I have:

  • developed and edited books
  • written articles for peer-reviewed journals, book reviews, and a regular column
  • served as the editor-in-chief of association journals
  • served on the editorial boards of peer-reviewed journals
  • served as the associate editor for a peer-reviewed journal

For creative writing outside of my library work, please see the Writing tab just above for:

  • a full list of the novels I’ve written (with excerpts)
  • the full text of some of my short fiction
  • information about the non-fiction books I’ve published and the two I am currently writing
  • a list of magazine and journal articles I have published (some with links to full text)

I also do volunteer editing. For details on current and past projects, take a look at my editing site.
